To provide an improved liquid toner to improve the lifetime of an intermediate transfer member, to provide a liquid mixture for the toner, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with an intermediate transfer member having improved lifetime.
The image forming apparatus includes an imaging surface having a liquid toner image formed on the image surface, where the image comprises toner particles and a carrier liquid, and the carrier liquid contains, as a major component, a liquid which relatively quickly evaporates at room temperature and as a minor component, a liquid which relatively slowly evaporates at a room temperature; and an intermediate transfer member, having a release outer layer which receives the toner image from the imaging surface and from which the image is subsequently transferred.
