To provide a liquid treatment device realizing further improvement of treating capacities such as sterilization and organic material decomposition despite its cost-reduced, compact and simple configuration.
A fine bubble generator and ultraviolet lamp are arranged in a treating container having a flow path through which a liquid to be treated is passed, and the generation of fine bubbles and ultraviolet irradiation are nearly simultaneously performed without leaving large time interval in the identical container. By a combined effect of the above treatment, further improvement of treating capacities such as sterilization and organic matter decomposition is achieved. In other words, by irradiating the liquid to be treated just after supply of fine bubbles with ultraviolet light, oxygen or the like in the fine bubbles is activated to further improve efficiencies of sterilization and decomposition. Besides, by irradiating the liquid just after the fine bubbles are broken by applying pressure with the ultraviolet light, in addition to the active OH group generated by ultraviolet irradiation, the active groups generated in response to pressure break of fine bubbles join to the OH group and thus, the efficiencies of sterilization and decomposition are further improved by accelerated treatment.
