Abstract:
To provide a liquid washing compsn. for contact lenses which has high stability in spite of a liquid form, is extremely easily usable and has a high washing effect capable of effectively lessening or preventing the adhesion of stains, more particularly protein stains, on the contact lenses.
At least one kind of the stabilizing components selected from a group consisting of 2-amino-2-methyl-1,3-propanediol and 2-amino-2-methyl-1- propanol and their salts are added at a ratio of ≥5 w/v% together with an effective amt. of proteolytic enzyme into an aq. medium. As a result, the extreme stabilization of the proteolytic enzyme is obtd. and even if the compsn. is preserved for a long period, the excellent enzyme activity is held.
