Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a lithium cell having high electromotive force and high energy density.
CONSTITUTION: In a lithium cell comprising a positive electrode 2 of a Li+ inserted type, a negative electrode 1 consisting of metallic lithium or its allay, and an electrolyte, a hollow carbon molecule is mixed in the Li+ inserted type material so as to form a positive electrode 2. Thus, discharge capacity of the cell is enhanced, furthermore the discharge capacity is not lowered even by repetition of charges and discharges, cyclic degradation as well. A primary or secondary lithium cell having high electromotive force and high energy density is thus provided.
