On the outermost side of an electrode assembly 12, a positive electrode plate 30 having a positive electrode metal base material 33 that is not provided with a positive electrode active material layer 22 and a negative electrode plate 31 having a negative electrode metal base material 34 that is not provided with a negative electrode active material layer 26 are overlapped while a separator part 20a is interposed therebetween. The positive electrode metal base material 33 is formed of metal (for example, copper) having a melting point higher than that of aluminum, and is totally covered with an aluminum plating layer 33a.
