Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery including a pressurization mechanism, improved in output characteristics and cycle characteristics as compared with conventional ones.SOLUTION: A lithium secondary battery 10 includes: an electrode body 22 comprising a positive electrode and a negative electrode which are laminated via a polymer porous separator; a battery case 30 in which the electrode body 22 is housed and sealed while the electrode body is impregnated with an electrolyte; and a pressurization mechanism 40 pressurizing the electrode body 22 at a pressure of 4 kgf/cmor more in the lamination direction from an outside of the battery case 30. In the porous separator, insulating particles (for example, ceramic particles such as alumina particles) having hardness higher than that of a polymer used in the porous separator are dispersed inside thereof.
