Abstract:
To provide powder of lithium titanate which has a large charge/discharge capacity and which can suppress generation of gas during a high-temperature operation, a material of active substance arranged by use thereof, an electrode sheet, and a power storage device.SOLUTION: Powder of lithium titanate for an electrode comprises LiTiOas a primary component, and has a specific surface area of 4 m/g or more. The lithium titanate powder further comprises M1 (M1 is at least one element selected from Mo and W) and M2 (M2 is at least one element selected from Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Hb, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu). When the contents of M1 and M2 are Cand C(mol%) respectively, which are determined by inductively coupled plasma emission spectroscopy analysis, the content Cis 0.01 or more and 0.9 or less, and the content Cis 0.01 or more and 0.9 or less. In analysis about a section by using a scanning transmission type electron microscope, element concentrations of M1 and M2 at a particular depth, measured by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy satisfy a given requirement.SELECTED DRAWING: None
