Abstract:
To provide a load control device having low-loss, in which noise can be reduced.SOLUTION: A first switch SW1 is connected to between a pair of connection terminals TA1 and TA2, and is switched into any one of an off state in which power supply to a load 3 from an AC power source 2 is cut-off and an on state in which power is supplied to the load 3 from the AC power source 2. A second switch SW2 is inserted into current paths RT1 and RT2 in which current flows to a capacitive element 12 via at least one of the pair of connection terminals TA1 and TA2 from the AC power source 2. A control unit 11 controls the first switch SW1 to the on state in a conductive period determined in accordance with a supply power to the load 3 in each half period of an AC voltage Vac of the AC power source 2, and controls the first switch SW1 to the off state in a cut-off period other than the conductive period. The control unit 11 controls the second switch SW2 to the on state at a switching timing when on/off of the first switch SW1 is switched in the middle of each half period of the AC voltage Vac.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
