To reduce the number of logs stored in storage means, while leaving useful information among information included in the logs.
A log arrangement device reads a log file (Sa1), and performs deletion in order from the older log when the logs are stored by a number exceeding the maximum number set in the logs (Sa2, Sa3). When an item for storing information exceeding the number of holding exists, the log arrangement device selects the item and deletes the information for the excess portion (Sa4, Sa5, Sa6). Then, the log arrangement device aggregates the logs when the aggregatable logs exist as a result of the deletion of the information (Sa7, Sa8). The number of holding is determined, for example, in accordance with times when a user designates the item as the display item of a report.
