Title:
LOG COMPARISON DEBUGGING SUPPORT DEVICE, METHOD AND PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002055853
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a log comparison debugging support device capable of obtaining a partial log useful for log comparison and to contribute to enhancement of efficiency of a debugging work of a log base.

A log in which a series of events generated by execution of an object program are recorded is inputted and plural partial logs are generated from the inputted log. The partial logs are normalized based on a main log as a normalization standard and featured values to indicate featured degrees of generation and non-generation of the events are calculated based on normalization logs of other partial logs for each normalized log. Similarity among the partial logs is calculated by an operation based on the featured values in combination of a prescribed partial log and other partial logs. For example, the combination of the partial logs with the highest value of similarity is displayed and outputted by emphasizing their different parts.
