PURPOSE: To conduct the identification of a cable individual.

CONSTITUTION: Identical mark sections on which identical marks 20 are impressed are provide on the surface of the coating portion 12 of a long cable, and the different marks 20 are impressed on the respective identical mark sections. The length L of the identical mark section is set to be shorter than the shortest length of lengths into which the long cable is to be cut.
