Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the gain of the antenna itself and to facilitate the design of a feeder by utilizing positively radiation from a discontinuous part and reducing the loss of the feeder.
CONSTITUTION: A passive radiation element 8 of a desired shape is provided to an upper part of a discontinuous part of a feeder 4 through which spurious radiation is caused in the low loss feder for the plane antenna and the passive radiation element 8 is excited by the spurious radiation from the discontinuous part so that the phase of radiation from the feeding element and the phase of radiation from the passive radiation element 8 are matched with each other.
