Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convergence amplifier which is capable of suppressing the power dispersed by an output device to a minimum. SOLUTION: A convergence corrected voltage waveform 15 is supplied to a power amplifier circuit. The output stage 40 of a power amplifier 100 drives the deflection coil of a cathode-ray tube with the convergence corrected current proportional to the convergence corrected voltage waveform 15. The differential voltage potential at the both ends of the output device of the output stage 40 is compared with prescribed reference voltage. The differential voltage potential drops from the prescribed voltage and the back topology voltage regulator connected with the output device is turned on. Thus, the differential voltage potential is maintained to the level which is larger than the prescribed reference voltage.
