Title:
LOW-TEMPERATURE COMPRESSOR OR PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3499955
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make the efficiency at the working temperature of armature cores high by using silicon steel plates whose Si content is in a specific range for armature cores, and adopting a rotor of a solid movable element and a structure which makes it difficult for an eddy current to flow in its surface.
CONSTITUTION: A pump 1 is driven by a driving motor composed of an armature core 4 and a solid rotor 5, and the armature core 4 is made of silicon steel plates which contain 3.3-6wt.%of Si. Besides, the rotor 5 is pure iron but its surface is enriched with Si to the extent of about 1mm, and the Si content of the surface is 5-6.5% and an eddy current is hard to flow owing to its shade. As the result, the magnetostrictive coefficient becomes small at low temperatures since silicon steel plates having excellent magnetic characteristics at low temperatures and containing 3.3-6wt.% of Si are used for the armature core of a driving motor, and it becomes possible to reduce the hysteresis loss out of the iron loss. Along with it, it becomes possible to make the surface area smaller since an eddy current is hard to flow in the surface of the rotor in respect of shape and material. Accordingly, it becomes possible to make the efficiency higher.
