Title:
LOW TEMPERATURE LIQUIFIED GAS TANK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5670195
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To lower pressure at the upper portion of a tank preventing compressed liquefaction of vaporizable substance in the tank by circulatedly spraying a part of liquified gas into the upper portion of the tank for storing vinyl chloride monomer or the like as liquified from the lower portion thereof. CONSTITUTION:A circulation line is connected to the upper portion of a tank body 1 by way of a cooler 3 and a pump 2 from the bottom thereof and then to a spray nozzle 6 in the tank body. With such an arrangement, where a liquified vinyl chloride monomer is stored in the tank, the monomer cooled through the circulation line 4 is sprayed from the spray nozzle 6. Therefore, the evaporated vinyl chloride monomer built up at the upper portion of the tank 1 is cooled while a part thereof is liquified again. At the same time, it cools the gaseous atmosphere to check the evaporation of the vinyl chloride monomer. This prevents polymerizing reaction of the vinyl chloride monomer due to compression thereby lowering the pressure at the upper portion of the tank.
