Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate an operator exposed to danger by an arc at the time of power closing operation of a low tension breaker, in the case of a short- circuit condition or overloaded condition, by prevent power from its supply to a load of the short-circuit condition or overloaded condition.
CONSTITUTION: In a position before placing an operating lever part in a closed condition of a handle 2, since an actuator 71 of a microswitch 7 is pressed by a point end part 24a of an arm part 24 of the handle 2, a contact mechanism 72 of the switch is closed. Then, power is input to an input terminal 81 of a load impedance measuring circuit 8, and DC voltage V0 is output from the circuit 8. In the case of a small value of load impedance, a thyristor 86 is turned on, and DC voltage V1 is output from an output terminal 87. Thus by actuating a closing lock mechanism 9, since a point end part 321a of an arm 321 is locked by a point end part 93a of an armature 93, the arm 321 is impeded from its turn thereafter. Accordingly, an opening/closing contact 3 is not closed, to stop supplying power to a load of short-circuit or overloaded condition.
