Title:
LOW VOLATILITY PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05214303
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a product having a pressure-sensitive adhesive low in the loss in its total mass at a time of heating under a specific condition and low in the content of a volatile condensation material used in a part of the surface of the base material thereof and usable even in outer space.

CONSTITUTION: The objective product is obtained by using a pressure-sensitive adhesive obtained by compounding (A) 60-90 pts. of a soluble organopolysiloxane with a number average mol.wt. of 900-1,600 constituted of a siloxane unit represented by R3SiO1/2 (wherein R is a monovalent group containing no aliphatic unsaturation of hydrocarbon and halogenated hydrocarbon and 1/3 of the total R is methyl) and an SiO4/2 siloxane unit in a molar ratio of 1.1/1-1.4/1, (B) 10-40 pts. of polydiorganosiloxane represented by formula (wherein R2 is same to R and 1/2 or more of the total R2 is methyl; R1 is R2 or OH; and n is a number having an average value larger than 0) and (C) a curing agent and having 0.1% or less of a collectable volatile condensation material of which the total mass loss is 1 wt.% or less on the basis of the wt. of the pressure- sensitive adhesive at a time of heating under a pressure of 5×10-5 Torr or less at 125°C for 24 hr.
