This LSI layout device has: a layout database storing the pattern data of the circuit layout pattern; an editing buffer storing the read pattern data; a design table provided in each the circuit design, storing design information showing the editing buffer storing the pattern data; a display table storing display information about the displayed circuit layout pattern; and a display part reading the layer of the circuit layout pattern from the editing buffer by the design information, and displaying the pattern data of each the layer. The LSI layout device imparts identification information in each layer unit.
