To provide a lubricant leakage preventing mechanism, capable of positively preventing leaking of lubricant from an interior of a hollow type wave motion gearing to an exterior or to the side of an adjacently arranged motor.
A labyrinth seal 101 is arranged between a rigid cam plate 231 in a wave motion generator 23 of the hollow type wave motion gearing 2, and an outer circumferential face 51 of a hollow output shaft 5 and an opening 10a of a lubricant passage 10 between these is raised to a position near a wave bearing 232 inside the wave motion gearing for making it difficult to have the lubricant leak out. Also, a tapered passage portion 10b is formed in a portion continuous with this opening 10a and lubricant trying to leak out is forcibly returned to the interior of the motion wave gear by the centrifugal force. Accordingly, lubricant leaking outside along the circumferential face of the output shaft 5 can be prevented effectively.
