Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a lubricating oil excellent in extreme pressure lubricating properties and also in heat resistance and oxidation stability.
CONSTITUTION: The lubricating oil is prepared by using as the principal component a polysilalkylenesiloxane comprising silalkylene units of the formula: R1mSiZ(4-m)/2 (wherein R1 is a 1-20 (un)substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; Z is 1-10C alkylene; and m is an integer of 1-3) and siloxane units of the formula: R22SmO(4-n)/2 (wherein R2 is a 1-20C monovalent hydrocarbon group; and n is an integer of 1-3) and having a viscosity of 10-100000cP at 25°C.
