Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a lubrication oil for the sealing of the stern tube, having excellent separability from sea water and lubricity, and containing a phosphoric acid ester having higher specific gravity than sea water and high emulsification resistance as a main component.
CONSTITUTION: The objective lubrication oil for the sealing of the stern tube contains usually a phosphoric acid ester of formula [R1, R2 and R3 are (halogenated) hydrocarbon group or (halogenated) hydrocarbon group containing ether bond] and having a specific gravity of 1.02W2.25 and high resistance to emulsification (e.g. isopropylphenyl phosphate, cresyl diphenyl phosphate, tricresyl phosphate, xylenyl diphenyl phosphate, trixylenyl phosphate, etc.).
