Title:
MACHINE TOOL FOR PRECISION-MACHINING FLANK OF TOOTH OF PREVIOUSLY TOOTHED GEAR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63306819
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
The machine tool has a tool spindle which carries a grinding worm, can be driven rotationally while coupled in a rolling-contact manner to the work carrier and is mounted in a reciprocating tool-slide arrangement by means of which a working stroke and a following return stroke can be imparted to the grinding worm relative to the workpiece. A polishing worm is arranged on the tool spindle in such a way as to be axially offset relative to the grinding worm, and the return stroke of the tool-slide arrangement can be performed as a working stroke of the polishing worm while maintaining the rolling-contact coupling so that renewed synchronisation between tool and workpiece is dispensed with. Furthermore, a tool is described which represents a combination of grinding and polishing worm and is used in the above machine.
