When a translation processing control part 63 executes translation while dividing the original document stored in an original document storage buffer 51 into sentences, position information of a sentence as the translation object in the original document is written in a pertinent column of an original/translation result correspondence table buffer 53 at each time of translation, and position information of the sentence as the translation result is written in a pertinent column of the correspondence table buffer 53 at each time of writing this sentence as the translation result in a translation result document storage buffer 52; and at the time of display in a conversational form, a display processing control part 61 successively segments corresponding sentences in an externally designated range or in all of the document from the original document and the translation result document in accordance with registered contents of the correspondence table buffer 53 and sets them to a buffer 54 for picture display while pairing them to display them in the conversational form.
