To provide a magazine chuck capable of, even when a problem occur on an opening/closing motor of a hook for chucking the magazine tray, continuing a magazine chuck operation without causing any damage on a magazine chuck mechanism until the problem is removed.
The magazine chuck includes: a pair of right and left hooks 61 and 62 for chucking a magazine tray; a coupling gear 67 that links the hooks to open/close synchronously: a hook holding spring 79 acting on the coupling gear; a chuck rod 75 that drives at least one of the hooks; and a chuck transportation unit that moves the chuck unit 60 forward/backward with respect to the magazine. The hook holding spring is arranged to, at a hook close position, give a force to the coupling gear to close the hook; and at a hook open position, to give a force to the coupling gear to open the hook open direction. When the hook is at the close position, the hook can move in the open direction, and when the hook is at the open position, the hook can move in the close direction.
