To provide an electronic device such as a magnetic disk device and the like capable of easily allocating electronic devices, changing and increasing components by eliminating the conditions where a serial interface cable is drawn around.

The electronic device includes a case 3, magnetic disk device circuitry 12, serial interface cable 3, serial interface cable winding member 5, winding handle 6, winding hook 8 and contact connector 7. The length of the serial interface cable 3 is arbitrarily adjusted according to the allocation of the magnetic disk device. As a result, the condition where the serial interface cable 3 is drawn around and the contact connector 7 is wrongly coupled is eliminated. Therefore, the electronic device can easily change the allocation of the magnetic disk device and increase the components.
