Abstract:
PURPOSE: To suppress the generation of a gray zone by side erasing and to assure sufficient S/N.
CONSTITUTION: The magnetic metallic thin films 59, 62 of the magnetic head constituted with a closed magnetic path by the magnetic metallic films 59, 62 and a pair of magnetic core half bodies 60, 63 consisting of magnetic core substrates 58, 61 are butted diagonally against a magnetic gap g2. The magnetic gap g2 is formed between these butt surfaces. In addition, the larger angle of the angles θ5, θ6 formed by the magnetic gap forming surface 59a of the above-mentioned magnetic metallic thin films 59, 62 and the core end faces 63, 63b of the magnetic core half body 63 facing this surface is disposed on an overwrite side.
