Abstract:
PURPOSE: To suppress the generation of wiggle noises and to obtain the magnetic head having good magnetic characteristic by forming a buffer layer consisting of a nonmagnetic member between a magnetic core and a molded glass.
CONSTITUTION: The buffer layer 6 consisting of a nonmagnetic material is formed between the molded glass 5 of a magnetic core chip 3 and the magnetic core 4a. As a result, the direct contact of the molded glass 5 and the magnetic core 4a is averted and the deterioration by the reaction of the materials forming the molded glass 5 and the magnetic core 4a is prevented. Further, the coefft. of thermal expansion of the buffer layer 6 is set near the coefft. of thermal expansion of the material forming the magnetic core 4a to decrease the difference in the coefft. of thermal expansion between both, by which the generation of the residual stresses and tensile stresses in the material forming the magnetic core 4a is substantially prevented. Further, the cracking and peeling in the internal part of the magnetic core forming material is prevented.
