Title:
MAGNETIC MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6451603
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize a magnetic material at a liquid nitrogen temperature or above so that it has complete diamagnetism and ferromagnetism by the use of a magnetic field, a current, and light, by forming ferromagnetic materials into a superconductor.

CONSTITUTION: Needlelike ferromagnetic materials 2 made of needlelike CuFe2O4 are mixed into powder of a Y-Ba-Cu-O superconductor 1. This mixed material is put into a copper pipe 3 and this pipe is extended to be shaped cylindrically. When the pipe is cooled at 77K by liquid nitrogen and a magnetic field is applied longitudinally to the pipe to measure magnetism, it shows ferromagnetism rapidly at the time of HC1. When the pipe is heated at 500°C and next it is measured again at 77K, it shows diamagnetism. When a magnetic field of HC1 or below is applied to the pipe and its magnetism is measured together with the flowing of the current, JC1 shows ferromagnetism rapidly.
