PURPOSE: To permit the uniform polishing by setting a magnet and an attracted body made of magnetic material oppositely, keeping a polished article made of nonmagnetic material interposed, and attaching one among the magnet and the attracted article as polishing article having abrasive grains, onto the polished article.

CONSTITUTION: A number of rectangular-shaped permanent magnets 5 are arranged in rectilinear form in the longitudinal direction, keeping a small interval, at the center part of a supporting plate 2, and a polished cylinder G is loaded in rotatable ways onto a receiving roller 6 for the polished cylinder whose height on the both sides is adjusted, and a polishing body block 32 group having a proper length is inserted in rectilinear form over the cylinder length direction inside. The polishing body block 32 is formed by jointing the mixture of iron power and abrasive grains by epoxy resin, and press-attached onto the inside surface of the polished cylinder G by the attractive force of the magnet 5, and the free revolution is suppressed by the pressing of a holding rod 23, and a reciprocating movement is generated, and the revolving polished cylinder G is uniformly polished over the whole length.
