PURPOSE: To reduce the used amount of an organic solvent, to decrease the gap rate of a magnetic layer, and to improve electromagnetic transducing characteristics, by using a resin component which is liquid at normal temperature for manufacturing a magnetic paint.
CONSTITUTION: A resin component consisting of normal-temperature liquid acrylic resin (which has 500W20,000 mean molecular weight and is oligomerous) which is liquid at normal temperature and has functional groups, capable of reacting with isocyanate groups such as hydroxl groups and carboxyl groups, in a molecule, and a normal-temperature liquid multifunctional isocyanate compound which has at least two free isocyanate groups in a molecule is mixed with an about 30W20wt% isocyanate compound, based upon the whole amount of a magnetic paint, together with a ferromagnetic material, thus preparing the magnetic paint for magnetic recording media.
