PURPOSE: To reduce the error generation by emphasizing the low frequency component of a recording signal and recording it to a magnetic medium.
CONSTITUTION: A digital signal inputted to an input terminal 1 is inputted to a low area emphasizing circuit 2 and a recording amplifier. At the low area emphasizing circuit 2, the signal component of a frequency or below corresponding to a maximum inversion interval is extracted by the low-pass filter of a cut-off frequency. An output signal 2a of the circuit and original input data 1a are added by an adder 3, and recorded to a magnetic tape 5 by a magnetic head 4. As such a result, the recording, in which the digital signal is made into a high frequency bias signal and a low frequency component is emphasized, can be realized. By minimizing a compensating quantity to a low frequency component at a reproducing circuit, a signal is reproduced without increasing the noise of the low frequency area, and the waveform deterioration can be reduced.
