Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a recording medium from being stained and damaged and increase its memory capacity by using a cartridge of a magnetic tape as a recording medium when performing reproduction in running the magnetic recording medium manually. CONSTITUTION:Cartridge 1 is fixed in magnetic recording and reproducing device 8 and magnetic tape 2 is drawn out of cartridge 1 by catching grip part 4, so that magnetic head 13 will read and record information. Since reel 5 is applied with rotation energizing force in the opposite direction to the winding direction of magnetic tape 2, magnetic tape 2 is applied with tension when magnetic tape 2 is drawn out of cartridge 1. As grip 4 is released after information transfer is completed, the tape is automatically rolled up by the rotation energizing force of spring 6.
