PURPOSE: To obtain a leader tape having an excellent cleaning effect by incorporating inorg. pigment powder having specific particle sizes and a binder into a coating layer, assigning the haze range of a base and determining the lower limit of the light transmittance of the leader tape.
CONSTITUTION: Alumina or the like which is a white pigment is preferable in terms of appearance for the inorg. pigment powder and the particle size thereof is made 0.01W10μ. Since the inorg. pigment powder has to be held on the base, the powder is mixed and dispersed with the binder. The binder to be used is exemplified by a vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymer, etc. and is used at 15W 600wt% by the weight of the inorg. pigment powder. The base to be used is a semitransparent base having ≥20% and ≤80% haze. The leader tape is so prepared as to have ≥20% light transmittance. The light transmittance is adjusted by changing the combination of the base and inorg. pigment powder and the mixing ratio of the inorg. pigment powder and the binder.
