Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the taking out of an optical disk in an emergency without causing damage of the disk.

CONSTITUTION: The magneto-optical recorder is provided with a holder 2 repeatedly transported over the loading position and non-loading position which are provided opposite to each other in the thickness direction of the optical disk 100, after the optical disk 100 is housed, and a disk taking out mechanism for emergency manully transporting the holder 2 at the loading position to the non-loading position to take out the optical disk to the outside of the device when the power supply is stopped. The disk taking out mechanism for emergency is provided with a disk protecting lever 43 which is the means to hold the optical disk 100 at the prescribed position when the holder 2 is transported by this mechanism.
