To improve the convenience of transmission/receipt of picture-letter mail for a user of a mobile terminal device.

The user of the mobile communication terminal device 10mcreates a mail including a pictograph and transmits it to a mobile communication terminal device 10n. In a pictograph management server 52 receiving the mail, it is determined whether there is a differential pictograph as a pictograph not registered in a pictograph database installed in the mobile communication terminal device 10nor not. If the determination is affirmative, information about the differential pictograph is prepared in the pictograph management server 52 to be transferred to the mobile communication terminal device 10nwith the mail. The mobile communication terminal device 10nrefers to the pictograph database of its own and the differential pictograph information if the differential pictograph is attached for displaying mail contents intended by a mail transmitter.
