To provide a system which performs the guidance and confirmation of a maintenance procedure to improve the reliability of maintenance.

A server 111 in a maintenance center searches maintenance procedure data 132 from database 112 using, as a key, fault information 131 collected and reported by an SVP 101 on the occurrence of a fault, and sends the information to the SVP 101. The SVP 101 receiving this information stores this data in a maintenance procedure storing portion 104, and performs the guidance and confirmation of maintenance from a maintenance terminal 105 and a remote maintenance terminal 113. Due to this, accurate and consistent maintenance can be performed irrespective of the difference in experience among maintenance persons. Exact maintenance can be also performed with respect to a fault which other maintenance persons never encounter, by reflecting past maintenance experiences in the database 112. Further, the unified management of maintenance information and the thorough notification to all the maintenance persons can be easily realized.
