To provide a data distribution system for an effective cache to a specific user for access by a mobile terminal unit.
The information distribution system includes a mobile computer connected to the Internet via a radio network; an information server for providing the mobile computer with WWW information via the Internet; a plurality of cache servers for cacheing information distributed by the information server for the mobile computer; and a managing device for managing the cached state of a group of cache servers. In the information distribution system, the mobile computer notifies the managing device of information related to the connection position in the radio network of at least an own device at prescribed timing, and the managing device selects one or a plurality of cache servers arranged near the mobile computer based on information related to the connection position notified from the mobile computer, and performs control for cacheing prescribed WWW information by the selected cache server.
