Title:
VARIABLE STRENGTH AND UNIFORM PARALLEL MAGNETIC FIELD GENERATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3184678
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a variable strength and uniform magnetic field generation device capable of generating easily uniform magnetic field having specified strength to a required space.
CONSTITUTION: This invention relates to a variable strength and uniform magnetic field generation device which are provided with a magnetic field generation source, such as a coil or a permanent magnet and a cylinder 24 comprising a superconductor with a slit 31 in parallel with the longitudinal direction and assembled in such a fashion that the axis of the magnetic field generation source may parallel to the axis of the cylinder 24 made of a superconductor. The superconductor is a second class superconductor, and what is more, it is a variable strength and uniform parallel magnetic field generation device which is characteristic in that it has a critical current density where the superconductor is not 0 at the magnetic field which exceeds its lower part critical magnetic field. The cylinder 24 is a superconductor-made plate formed in the shape of spiral or Swiss-roll. It is also acceptable to adopt a cylinder comprising a plurality of plated pasted together.
