PURPOSE: To easily manufacture a valve having complicate shape at a low cost by inserting a mixed bar material of a specific composition into a long hole in cooling hearth, projecting a part of the bar material from recessed part on the hearth and melting and staying it into the recessed part.
CONSTITUTION: Ti powder or Fe powder or Ni powder and Al powder or Al alloy powder for the raw material of aluminide are mixed as composition in the inequality I to form the bar material 2. This bar material 2 is inserted into the long hole 1b in the cooling hearth 1 having the recessed part 1a corresponding to the face of the valve and the long hole 1b connected with the recessed part 1a corresponding to stem part in the valve. Then, a part 2b of the bar material 2 is protruded to out of the hearth 1 from the long hole 1b through the recessed part 1a, and by melting and staying a part 2b of the bar material 2 in the recessed part 1a on the hearth 1, valve shaped body 4 or pseudo-valve shaped body is formed. This formed material 4 is taken out from the cooling hearth 1, and by machining, the desired aluminide-made intake and exhaust valve for internal combustion engine can be formed.
