PURPOSE: To manufacture the title pipe by subjecting both end parts in the bonded side of an austenitic high Ni plate to but welding into the shape of a pipe, subjecting it to cold working at the specified sectional reduction rate and to recrystallization annealing.
CONSTITUTION: Both end parts of an austenitic high-Ni plate or its strip plate are butted; they are bonded by welding to form into the shape of a pipe. The pipe, as welded, or after annealed, is then subjected to cold working by cold rolling or drawing in such a manner that its sectional reduction rate is regulated to 15W80% and is subjected to recrystallization annealing at about ≥1,000°C. By this method, the austenitic high-Ni pipe having uniform characteristics along its circumferential direction of the thickness can be obtd.
