Abstract:
PURPOSE: To manufacture a cam ring displaying excellent wear resistance without running up the working cost by using a liquid phase sintered material to the cam ring.
CONSTITUTION: A thin cylindrical body 1 containing 1-3% C, 3-20% Cr, 0.2-3% Mo, 0.2-1.5% P and/or 0.04-0.5% B and the balance substantially Fe is manufactured by the liquid-phase sintering, and the outside of the thin cylindrical 1 is inserted within molten aluminum alloy 10.
