PURPOSE: To obtain excellent wear resistance by impregnating a veneer in which a colored transparent or translucent layer is provided and which is backed with a nonwoven fabric a Japanese sheet, etc., with a thermosetting resin and further heating and pressurizing integrally thermosetting resin sheets therebetween.
CONSTITUTION: Veneers 1 of a resin having no conduit hole are connected, backed with a backing material 3 such as a nonwoven fabric, a Japanese sheet, etc., to form a long base material A. On the other hand, a transparent release layer 5, a colored transparent or translucent layer 6 are sequentially provided on a support 4 of a plastic film, and a transfer layer 7 is formed to form a transfer unit B. The veneer 1 and the layer 6 are so superposed as to be opposed through a two-liquid curable type transparent or translucent adhesive layer 8, heated, pressurized, then the support 4 is peeled, the layer 7 is transferred to obtain a first laminate C. The laminate C is dipped in a thermosetting resin liquid, dried, wound in a rolled state with an impregnated layer in a semicured state, and cut to form a second laminate D. The laminate D is inserted between thermosetting resin-impregnated sheets 14, 13, 12, heated and pressurized integrally.
