Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the manufacturing process and management of a finger chuck provided with an elastic holding member while clamping the rear end of a bar material and the finger chuck so that both can be smoothly separated from each other.
SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a finger chuck mounted to the front end of a bar material supply member, the outer periphery of the end of a bar material WC to be clamped by the finger chuck 10 is formed with a plurality of recesses 42. The bar material is inserted into a bar material inserting hole of the finger chuck to form a resin molding core WC in the bar material inserting hole. The recesses are disposed circumferentially of the bar material at a predetermined interval. Fluidized resin material is infused into a gap formed between the outer peripheral surface of the core WC and the inner wall surface of the bar material inserting hole, and an opening part of the bar material inserting hole is closed with a jig 30 provided with the bar material inserting hole through which the bar material can be inserted. The inner wall of the bar material inserting hole, the outer wall of the core and the opening part closing wall surface of the jig define the resin molding region in the bar material inserting hole.
