Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent zinc powder generation on an on-bath support roll in the case of hot dip galvanizing.
SOLUTION: Temperature on the surface of a plating layer is measured by a contact thermometer 1 attached to the on-bath support roll. This information is sent to a host computer 2 and whether the temperature on the surface of the plating layer in the present condition is within a dangerous range, or not, is judged. When the present condition is in the dangerous range, up-and- down position of the on-bath support roll capable of avoiding the danger is operated and thereby, is adjusted.
