PURPOSE: To manufacture an insulated electric wire excellent in lubricity and abrasion resistance by dispersing a mixture solution, where fluororesin is mixed into a solvent having surface tension of a specific value or less at a predetermined temperature, to an insulating coating material, and coating and baking a conductor with the coating material.

CONSTITUTION: A mixture solution where fluororesin is mixed into a solvent having surface tension of 30dyne/cm or less at 25°C is dispersed into an insulating coating material. A conductor is bakedly coated with the insulating coating material directly or via an insulating layer, thus obtaining an insulated electric wire. For the fluororesin for this purpose, polytetrafluoroethylene, a tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoroalkylvinylether copolymer, a tetrafluoroethylene- hexafluoropropylene copolymer and the like are used, thereby forming an insulated electric wire having a low friction coefficient and excellent lubricity and abrasion resistance.
