Title:
MANUFACTURE OF INSULATION OPERATING ROD OF FIBER REINFORCED RESIN USED FOR GAS INSULATING SWITCH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3410290
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the axial strength adequate as required and also insulating properties adequate as required by setting the volume content ratio of weft and warp of cloth to a specific ratio.
SOLUTION: An insulation operating rod 2 of a fiber reinforced resin used for a gas insulating switch 1 is manufactured by winding inorganic fiber-woven cloth around a mandrel and impregnating the cloth with an epoxy resin and further, thermally curing it to part it from a molding die. In the inorganic fiber-woven cloth, the volume content ratio of weft as the axial yarn of the insulation operating rod and warp as the peripheral yarn of the insulation operating rod is set to the volume content of the weft of 1.1-2 for the volume content of the warp of 1. Consequently, the insulation operating rod having an adequate axial strength and an adequate axial rigidity as required and an adequate insulating properties as required is obtained. If the cloth impregnated with a higher content of resin is obtained by using the cloth treated by an opening process for flattening the warp and the weft.
