PURPOSE: To solve a trouble of air trapping without making holes in a cover film, without occurrence of cutting, deforming or meandering of the cover film and without newly using a reserver, by providing a slit-making device set to the width direction of the web.
CONSTITUTION: A slit wheel 12 of a slit-making device is applied on a cover film 1 conditioned just before lamination. The slit wheel 12 and a back up wheel 17 being perpendicular to having a certain angle to the forwarding direction of the cover film 1 and being-rided on sliding table carts 18a, 18a crosses the web at a constant speed on a slide table 19a, 19b set over the whoel width of the web to the width direction of the web. If a plurality of round slitting blade are used as the blade of the slit wheel, slitting is smoothly carried out. In this case, the slitting blades 13 set on the slit wheel 12 slits the web 1 and can open good slits by supporting the web 1 with back up wheel 17 from the opposite side of the web 1.
