PURPOSE: To provide a lithium alloy negative electrode having no chip or collapse at the edge portion of an alloy plate and having a uniform alloyed lithium quantity.

CONSTITUTION: A lithium plate 7, a liquid holding material 6, electrode base metal pieces 1 alloyed with the lithium plate 7, and a metal support plate 2 having a storage section 3 storing the electrode base metal pieces 1 are laminated in sequence to be alloyed, the face of the metal support plate 2 faced to the lithium plate 7 constitutes the continuous same plane as the electrode base metal pieces 1 and can be alloyed with lithium, thus a lithium alloy negative electrode having no excessive lithium, no chip or collapse at the edge portion of an alloy plate, a uniform alloyed lithium quantity, and good cycle characteristic is provided.
