Title:
MANUFACTURE OF MAGNETIC MATERIAL MADE OF SINTERED IRON-SILICON-ALUMINUM ALLOY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5953649
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture the titled magnetic material having superior magnetic characteristics and workability without using a binder by mixing Fe-Si-Al alloy powder with Si powder, molding the powdered mixture by compression, and sintering it.

CONSTITUTION: Fe-Si-Al alloy powder is mixed with Si powder and molded by compression. The Si powder is destroyed by the applied load, filled into the gaps in the alloy powder, and stuck to the alloy powder. Accordingly, when the alloy powder is mixed with Si powder, the compression moldability is considerably improved, and a high density molded body can be obtd. By sintering the molded body, a high density sintered alloy having superior magnetic characteristics and workability can be obtd.
