Title:
MANUFACTURE OF MN-ZN SOFT FERRITE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0696934
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To sinter fine particles in a state where the composition segregation is less and the sintering temperature of the core is low by utilizing reaction in solution in the course of which fine particles of iron oxide are coated with manganese hydroxide and zinc hydroxide after the fine particles of iron oxide are scattered in water and a prescribed amount of manganese chloride is added to and dissolved in the water.

CONSTITUTION: When an manganese chloride and zinc chloride solution is added to a suspension in which iron oxide particles are sufficiently disintegrated and an alkali is added to the suspension while the suspension is strongly stirred so as to make the suspension homogeneous, produced manganese hydroxide and zinc hydroxide adhere to the surface of the iron oxide particles. Since the hydroxides, manganese oxides, and carbonates are very fine particles, they becomes very fine oxide particles when they are subjected to dehydration and decarboxylation at a temperature of several hundred degrees and can be calcined at a low temperature. The calcined powder thus manufactured has very small particle sizes and a ferrite core composed of a sintered body of fine particles can be manufactured at a low sintering temperature.
